The Data-Processing Shared Facility
The DPSF is a new computational resource within SCRE@M designed for
processing large amounts of data:
- It is a "batch" processing facility, just like the
Computational
Shared Facility (CSF), i.e., computational work is submitted
to queues.
- The CSF is designed primarily for CPU-bound computation (e.g.,
simulation); the DPSF is designed primarily for IO-bound and/or
RAM-bound work.
