3. SSH — Replacing Telnet and Rlogin

To login to a remote server (cf. telnet or rlogin): 

  local> ssh remoteuser@remoteserver.sub.net
or 
  local> ssh remoteserver.sub.net -l remoteuser
and enter password or passphrase when prompted.
