There are two obvious ways to use this framework: write a daemon — the supplied script, symon, can be used for this; use Cron to call small scripts, one for each module — state could be maintained via a small config file in, e.g., /var/lib/symon/symon.state.<date_time>. The latter has not been yet been implemented (as of 2006 March 14).
