5. Syslog Messages-Based Modules

Mon_Messages

Designed to monitor a particular log file, e.g., those in /var/log or (on Solaris) /var/adm — multiple instances of the class which this module defines are take, one for each file to be monitored.

Filters can be default-pass or default-fail, i.e., all messages matching given regexps can be returned, or all those not matching.
