Getting Up And Running With AMS-LaTeX, by Phil Hirschhorn, (psh@math.mit.edu, 25 pages), is an overview of the American Mathematical Society version of LaTeX. It is intended for someone with at least some experience with either plain TeX, AMS-TeX, or LaTeX and attempts to give enough information for someone to get started with AMS-LaTeX without having to read the manual. Contains a template file.
