Several commercial applications at UMIST use flexlm as a licence server and for some of these applications Cosmos is the server; for others the machines which are at MC are the server (farm). Eric is a FlexLM client for several applications.
There are significant consequences for the IP Filter configuration on Eric and also for the router ACLs.
