Backup and Disaster Recovery

Cosmos is backed up by Arc Serve by Shaz, by the backup machine, 130.88.96.39; port 6051 is used.

The Solaris client is installed in /opt/uagent; some documentation is included in /opt/uagent/readme towards the end, including:

    uagent start|stop|status
Look in /opt/uagent/logs to see whats going on.

D1000 Disks

Should disaster strike and a disk from the array fail the offending disk can be unmounted, if necessary, and removed from the D1000 array, a new disk added, all with the array (and Cosmos) still up and running.

If a disk will not umount because its "busy" it is likely that its been shared --- check via /usr/sbin/share and unshare before umounting.
